The National Museum of Korea has one of the oldest collections of antiquities and cultural rights in Asia and is the sixth largest art museum in the world. His collection includes over 220,000 historical artifacts more than 13,000 items on display at any time. The collection includes the culture and history of what is known today as the day of modern Korea and contains artifacts from the Paleolithic period, 2.5 million years ago.
The National Museum of Korea was established in 1908 as the first museum in Korea.

 

The collection was the collection of the Museum of the Hofburg Palace in Seoul Changgyeong, which was launched as one of the five grand palaces of the Joseon Dynasty (c. 14). The museum’s collection has grown enormously over the centuries to recognize primarily by donations from private collectors and the allocation of the many national treasures of South Korea, a numbered series of resources, goods and property exceptional cultural value to the museum.

 

Highlights of the collection include a fifth-century royal crown of solid gold, a massive bronze bell weighing 19 tons, a bronze statue of the sixth century, one of the first Buddha, a pagoda, which is more remarkable height of 30 meters , and a famous image of the Heavenly Horse on the fender of a saddle.
